Eye Candy: Dahlias (far from black)





Hard to mistake, these gorgeous flowers would make even the Grinch crack a smile.



By far my favorite flower (sorry daisies-my former fav!), the dahlia does very well in zone 9 and comes in every color, shape and size one could imagine!



I hope everyone enjoys their day and some eye candy...

Holy Sunflower!!!

So, remember waaaaaaaay back earlier this year when I planted "mammouth sunflower" seeds and they actually came up????

Here's the finished product!!!


And here's a picture from farther away to give you a better idea of how tall these boogers are:


I have more pictures of them up close but of course my camera is in my truck right now and I just don't feel like getting up out of my comfy bed to go get it. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Finally...garden and flowerbed pictures!

While I'll probably be spending my whole weekend weeding the garden, I figured I'd provide some pictures (even though there's a lot I need to do with it).
